The Shrine is known as the playground of Masonry. There are far too many sects of the Shrine to mention here, however, they mostly utilize the enjoyment of the individual.With various activities comes the opportunity to contribute in various ways, and those ways can also be areas of interest.The Shrine is mostly known for its Shiners Hospitals for Children. In total there are 18 orthopedic hospitals, 3 burn hospitals, and a single hospital that provides orthopedic, burn, and spinal cord injury care. These Hospitals are known to be of the most excellent quality. Through their continuing effort extending from the early 1920’s, millions have benefited. This all comes from an idea that teaching and helping can be of the utmost enjoyment to the teacher as well as the community.
